Balancing Made Easy
Advia Credit Union - Balancing Made Easy
Lyndsey Wyatt, Branch Manager, Advia Credit Union
"A vault was a very huge part of the day, every day. So you needed to start your day with so much in your drawer to help our members, so the vault teller would be very busy first thing in the morning and throughout the day would be very busy."
Angie Lagina, Regional Director, Advia Credit Union
"So the vault teller was very active, and off the line, making sure that they were able to keep the cash drawers at the limit they needed to be at."
Lyndsey Wyatt: "Also, at the end of the day, you have to balance the vault and probably take more money into the vault that people need to sell from their drawer so they don't have too much money in their drawer at the end of the day."
Angie Lagina: "And so, now with the machines, it's not something that we have to worry about anymore because all the money is recycled in the machine."
Lyndsey Wyatt: "So now, we go days where we aren't getting into the vault at all, and then at night we don't have anything we need to sell back. It's so much easier, so much convenient, we run so much more efficiently. The teller line loves it at the end of the night when they can get out of here a few minutes after 5:00, versus everyone balancing their drawer and, you know, if something doesn't balance... There's none of that anymore, so you literally get out of here, I would say on average, about 20 minutes sooner at night than we used to."
