This week, in the swank London neighborhood of Kensington, merchants of all sizes gathered to explore the future of retail technology. Retailers had the opportunity to attend expert-led sessions with topics ranging from defining your digital payments strategy to taking a look at what omnichannel retailing will look like in 2017. This was the place to learn, explore and take a deep look at the future technology trends surrounding retail and ARCA was excited to be a small cog in Europe’s largest retail solutions show. Welcome to the Retail Business Technology Expo (RBTE).
At ARCA’s booth, the goal was to show a retailer how we can simplify their day-to-day operations through technology. We displayed a range of products that included a small-footprint till-side safe, a versatile high-capacity deposit solution, and our newest technology, the CM18b, a back-office cash recycler with bagging capabilities. This portfolio allowed us to showcase technology that solves many retailers’ problems surrounding the cash cycle.
While walking the trade show floor, I was thrilled to see a customer of ours—Kioware. Their software is used to secure operating systems in kiosks around the world with many options that are customizable depending on the needs of the customer.
Over the past few months, we had worked closely with Kioware during the development of Envoy, ARCA’s newest software platform solution. The platform’s primary purpose is to accelerate the integration of self-service software with kiosk hardware. In January, Envoy was officially released and Kioware was a key part of the process.
Between walking the floor, talking to current customers, and simply learning about the issues that retailers face today, it was a good start of a trade show. I’m looking forward to day two.
