RS22 (part of the ARCA CM18 reader) and Bruschi S.p.A. wins NADCA International Die Casting Award 2016

MEBANE, N.C. — October 20, 2016 — The North American Die Casting Association has awarded ARCA’s R&D and Engineering teams, along with Bruschi S.p.A., the 2016 International Die Casting Competition Award for Excellence in Zinc Die Casting Over 6 oz.

The award was presented to Bruschi at the 2016 Die Casting Congress & Tabletop in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, Sept. 27. The North American Die Casting Association represents the voice of the die casting industry and is committed to promoting industry awareness, domestic growth in the global marketplace and member exposure.

The award recognizes achievements using die casting technology, which forces molten metal under high pressure into a mold to form a part, in this case, a part of the CM18 RS22 reader. The innovation allowed ARCA to replace 25 molded stainless steel parts with two Zamak molded parts.

“This achievement award is a significant industry recognition of innovative thinking that resulted in a better product and value to our customers, as well as an example of working closely with innovative supply chain partners to finds better ways to manufacture ARCA products” said Allen Shaver, Global Technology Lead Link at ARCA.

Bruschi Vice President & Head of Sales Simone Maggiori noted: “The project was awarded thanks to the innovative process and the extraordinary mold but this could not have happened without the collaboration of ARCA (former CTS CashPro) and their technicians Paolo Dezutti and Fabio Forestiero. We worked together focusing our attention in the co-design activity which allowed us to develop extraordinary components.”
