Central Minnesota Credit Union Installs CM18 in Majority of Branches

ARCA’s cash recycler opens up customer service opportunities, say credit union officials

MEBANE, NC (Jan. 2, 2013) – Central Minnesota Credit Union (CMCU) has selected ARCA as its cash automation partner, installing the CM18 cash recycler in 11 of its 14 branches.

The CM18, which automates essential cash functions, helps tellers work faster and more accurately. The technology allows tellers to better engage their customers.

“ARCA’s CM18 lets tellers focus on our members instead of counting bank notes,” said Jason MacDonald, Director of IT for the credit union. “We have been able to better meet member needs and introduce them to all of the products and services we offer.”

While CMCU investigated other cash recycling options, officials chose ARCA based on the accuracy of its solution and the quality of its reputation. According to MacDonald, the credit union team appreciated ARCA’s history of success in Europe, where cash automation first gained popularity.
