CTS to demo new line of cash processing products for retailers at 104th National Retail Federation’s BIG Show

January 8, 2015

CTS invites merchants to see how to simplify and secure everyday transactions with their new line of cash management solutions.

Wixom, MI (January 08, 2015) – CTS, a global market leader in providing financial institutions and retailers with cash and check processing solutions, is showcasing its broad range of retail cash management systems at NRF 2015, the “Retail’s BIG Show” in New York City.

The show will be also an opportunity to meet the newly combined team of CTS and ARCA. ARCA, a leader in cash automation and payment technologies, announced December 22, 2014, that it has acquired the CTS Group, the world-renowned Italian provider of cash, check and card automation technologies. This acquisition combines CTS’s proven engineering and R&D capabilities with ARCA’s ability to grow rapidly through creating great customer relationships. The combined company will provide banking and retail clients around the world with customer-driven solutions based on cutting-edge technology.

CTS, long considered a financial services industry leader while leading the cash and item processing evolution is now poised to deliver that market intelligence and experience to help retailers achieve greater efficiencies and profitability in their cash management. Through its advanced engineering and knowledge of customer-facing applications and deposit environments, CTS has designed a complete set of cash and check automation solutions specifically for the retail markets, including:

  • CS1one and CSeXtra: The systems are equipped with CTS’ exclusive validation technology to identify all of the security features on bills, preventing fraud and increasing efficiency at point of sale (POS). CTS’ technology processes cash accurately and after validation, bills are stacked face-to-face into a patented auto-sealing plastic bag instead of more expensive plastic/metal cassettes. Stacked bags save a lot of preparation time for CIT withdrawals since cash is immediately available for picking-up, at any time. In addition, scalable deposit configurations allow the solutions to handle small, medium and larger volumes of cash to meet a large variety of customer and market needs.
  • CM18b: A unique retail back office cash management solution offering both deposit automation and full-function recycling capabilities within the same product. The CM18b automates the preparation of deposit bags for CIT collections while offering retailers the convenience of operational cost reduction with integrated cash recycling function. Once processed, the notes are accessible only through user validation, increasing the level of security. Removing the need to count and verify banknotes means that retailers can dedicate more of their attention to other added value activities.
  • LS40 and LS150: Leveraging extensive experience gained over years of check processing, the LS40 and LS150 check scanners when used with our patented image enhancement software, ClearPIX, provide support for Remote Deposit Check applications with reliable, readable images especially on difficult to read documents such as WIC vouchers and Money Orders.

“For the past 12 years we have worked hand-in-hand with CTS, bringing their transformative technology to our customers throughout North America,” Aubrey Meador, ARCA President, said. “By joining forces, we are able to respond even faster to market changes while developing products and services to better meet the needs of our customers. We cordially invite all of the NRF attendees to visit us at booth number 2343 at the Big Show.”
