Community First Credit Union planning enterprise cash recycler deployment
MEBANE, NC (DECEMBER 8, 2015) — In an effort to provide a more efficient, seamless and secure member experience, Community First Credit Union will be installing ARCA CM18 cash recyclers at all of its branch locations. ARCA, a global leader in cash automation technology, will work closely with Community First to rollout the machines over the next 18 months.
Community First is not a stranger to cash automation, having pioneered the usage of cash recycling and dispensing technology before it was commonplace.
“We have an aging fleet of cash recyclers and dispensers and we really wanted to standardize our equipment moving forward,” said Sam Inman, CFO at Community First Credit Union. “We thoroughly researched the various options on the market and felt that ARCA’s service package and strong history of machine reliability were key factors in the selection.”
The ARCA CM18 eliminates exposed cash drawers for tellers by storing cash inside the unit’s UL291 safe, while automating traditional manual cash counting processes. The CM18 counts, verifies, and stores cash at the teller line eliminating inefficiencies while working with cash. As the most deployed cash recycler platform in the world, the ARCA CM18 is known globally for its reliability and service uptime.

Community First is piloting the technology in its newest branch, currently under construction in the Riverside neighborhood in Jacksonville. The ARCA CM18 cash recycler is part of the technology, design and service improvements planned for the storefront location and throughout its branch network transformation project.
