ARCA provides greater branch efficiency with automation

October 15, 2014

Capital City Bank purchases ten cash recyclers for several of its Florida branches.

Mebane, NC (October 15, 2014) – ARCA, a global leader in cash automation, is proud to offer Capital City Bank the latest in cash recycling products. As an iteration of its growth, Capital City Bank leadership recognized the need for automation and technological advancement that would lead to greater efficiency in its offices. After an analysis of several vendors, Capital City Bank selected ARCA and purchased 10 cash recyclers.

According to Regional Service Administration Manager at Capital City Bank, Nancy Messer, “One reason we chose ARCA is because of the CM18′s time-saving benefits for our offices. Since installation, Capital City Bank has received measurable gains in efficiency. The cash recyclers have greatly reduced the teller’s need to count, strap, buy and sell cash.”

Messer went on to say, “Buying and selling cash either to or from another teller or the vault requires dual control. By reducing cash handling, time efficiencies are realized and potential for loss decreases. Keeping excess money in the teller drawers or in a vault always poses a risk. ARCA’s TCRs have helped us to streamline processes and mitigate those risks.”

The cash recyclers have also afforded Capital City Bank associates the freedom to build stronger relationships with their clients, thereby elevating satisfaction.

Capital City Bank Cross-trained Lead Teller Kat Dawson said, “We’re free to talk to the clients a little bit more as the machine’s doing the work. We can make more eye contact, ask ‘how’s the family’ and speak with them more one on one.”

The CM18 recycler automates bank cash processes, providing Capital City Bank tellers the opportunity to focus on their clients instead of counting money. By automating the intake and output of cash, tellers are able to keep currency totals balanced and manage a strict inventory of contents. Without a vulnerable teller cash drawer, tellers are provided both security and accuracy during each transaction.

Dawson added, “I can’t even begin to describe how wonderful the balancing is with the CM18 cash recyclers. Check-cashing Fridays are very simple now. We’re able to deal with the lines more efficiently because the machines are doing the bulk of the work for us.”

“Working with Nancy and the team at Capital City has been a great experience,” Andrew Rowe, Vice President of Business Development at ARCA, said. “Through the approach that ARCA takes to truly understand our customers’ needs, we were able to help identify areas that we believed our cash automation solutions would positively impact their branch operations. I am excited that they have been able to realize these efficiencies and results.”
